Combo House is a casual Chinese restaurant tucked into the corner of the Hannan Supermarket plaza in Walnut. The setting is unpretentious, with a modest dining area that fills up quickly during lunch and early dinner hours, mostly attracting locals who appreciate sizable portions and familiar Korean-influenced flavors. The vibe is straightforward and efficient, with the kitchen staff—who are Korean—preparing food that leans more toward Korean-style Chinese dishes than traditional Chinese fare, reflecting the neighborhood’s diverse Asian culinary landscape.

What stands out here is their Spicy Seafood Noodle Soup, which draws repeat customers for its large, generously filled bowls and balanced kick of heat. Alongside that, the king-sized steamed dumplings are a popular pick, often paired with noodle or combo plates featuring chicken, shrimp, or beef. While the menu lists an extensive variety of options, regulars note that many items aren’t routinely available, so coming prepared with a clear favorite or going straight for the seafood noodles is a good plan.

The pace is brisk and practical, which fits the quick-service style typical inside a supermarket food court setting. Combo House suits those who want a hearty, spicy noodle soup or a filling rice bowl on a budget, especially locals looking for a comfort meal after grocery trips or during workday breaks. The friendly but no-frills atmosphere means it’s less about lingering and more about satisfying hunger efficiently, though the generous portions and familiar flavors keep visitors coming back.

This review is specifically for The Spicy Seafood Noodle Soup and King Dumplings are EXCELLENT, not just by food court standards but they fare better than most full-blown Korean restaurants that serve these dishes. Pricing is very affordable and service is generally speedy. I have also tried their other items, Ramen, Black Bean Noodles, etc. over the years, and those are fairly average.

This place is pretty decent. I got the Ramen Combo which came with 3 King Dumplings. The Ramen was a little spicy and the Dumplings were good.

Seafood noodle is the bomb, it’s about $15 for a huge bowl. I tried different rice bowls, noodles and dumplings before discovered their seafood noodle, all are solid. Nowadays I only stick with the seafood noodle.

This food stall is located in the corner of Hannan Supermarket. From the boss to the chef, they are all Koreans. Most of the customers communicate with the boss in Korean, so the food provided is very Korean-flavored and the portions are large. I've tried this many times and it's always the same delicious food.

I gave them 5 stars because this is one of the best places to have korean jampong (the spicy kind). The food is great, I took 1 star off because honestly they have a huge menu and over 70% of the stuff are not available and never will be (why bother keeping it ?!?). The service is great as long as you don't complain or ask for detailed ordering such as I can't eat this leave it out of the dish or such as can you NOT wash the noodles with cold tap water. Use filtered water instead. The eatery is a small counter inside a supermarket. So atmosphere is like whatever. Expect lots of aunties and uncles and others around you watching you eat while talking in loud korean.

Have been coming here for years to get their jjajangbap (black bean sauce over rice). The cook is the nicest man ever and they serve some of the tastiest fresh kimchi around. I wont ever stop coming!
